Back in 2017 when I was a senior in college I took a course on Printmaking with a very excellent Professor named Kate Borcherding. I created this linocut in her class which was inspired by a photograph. A linocut is when you carve out a piece of linoleum (like the flooring) and print with the negative space left behind by the carving. Below are a series of images taken at different stages of the project.

After sketching on the linoleum and doing the carving, then you make your test prints in black. When you are happy with the black print, you move forward to add colors.

Below is the final color outcome of the print. Since completing the project , somehow the actual linocut has gotten lost. So prints cannot be made from it again.
